We invite you to train for the CELESTIAL ULTRA MARATHON. This work includes keeping the commandments, getting and keeping a temple recommend, attending the temple regularly, initiating gospel discussions with neighbors and friends and inviting them to church, seeking out your kindred dead and performing sacred ordinaces forthem in the houses of the Lord.
Your efforts will perfect you, your family and your neighbors and get you across the finish line to enter God’s Kingdom, together with your family, friends and deceased ancestors.
Step 1. With your family, complete a sequence of six, 2 month training challenges before April 30, 2025
Step 2. Help and inspire the people you minister to, to do the same.
First Two-Month Training Challenge
Week One
1 Login or create an account at www.familysearch.org (5 minutes)
2. Step 2 Enter (or verify) your name, birthdate, birthplace, date of marriage and data for your spouse. This is your FIRST GENERATION (10 minutes)
Week Two
1. Login to www.familysearch.org (2 minutes)
2. Enter (or verify) the data for each of your children. This is your SECOND GENERATION (10 minutes)
3. Look over the above data and see if your have listed any copies of any docoument which corroborate the information you entered. Take note of which pieces of information entered are not supported by a copy of a document such as a birth certificate or marriage certificate. (5 minutes)
Week Three
1. Search through your files and family records and locate your own birth and marriage certificate, and the birth certificate of each of your children (15 minutes).
2. Download the FamilySearch Memories mobile app, login and use the Memories mobile app to take a photo of each document you found. Don’t worry, all of the information you enter is yours and yours alone. No one but you will be able to see this information until 110 years after the birthdate of any person you enter.
Week Four and Week 5
1. Add your parents and siblings. This is your THIRD GENERATION! (60 minutes… you can do it!)
